ESI Presentation
ESI opened its doors in 1994. Since then it has been consolidated as a reference and prestigious institution recognized by both Spanish and European agencies as one of the most important teaching institutions.
The teaching methodology at ESI is mainly based from the traditional British Educational system that transcends the traditional methods. Our main objective is to offer education at specialized and professional university level related to the convergence of Bologna, which will allow the equivalence among the different European university systems.
Recognized Studies
ESI is an educational center recognized by Edexcel, a British educational organization regulated by the British government, which guarantees a quality control on the teaching. Our students study the BTEC qualification called Higher Nationall Diploma (HND). The BTEC HND (Higher National Diploma) are official degrees which form part of the British Educational system. Students who successfully complete vocational courses of 2 years’ full-time, are provided in universities and other higher education institutions in the U.K, The United States, and Australia. In actuality ESI has a Mutual Agreement, in which qualifies students can access the top up course in Bachelor Multimedia Design (British Official Degree) at Northumbria University.
Study to work
The programs of formation of ESI have as main objective to provide professional competences that assure an access of quality to the labor market for all their students. For it, the educational project bets firmly by the quality in the formation, the personalized attention and the practical orientation of its programs in constant commitment with the technological evolution and the needs of the businesses. This objective itself concrete in some plans of dynamic and polyvalent studies and in the support to the student for its integration in the labor market.
Methodology
The team of professors of ESI, identifying with the educational project, orient their teaching continuing methodologies based on personal attention, promoting the active participation of the students and in offering a constant stimulus to their motivation, that permit the maximum development of their capacities. For it, we have the necessary resources to obtain the best environment of study and work that facilitate the development of the academic activity. All our professors are professionals recognized in each one of the disciplines that they teach, prompting from the center the development of their curriculum profile.
English as a second language
In ESI we believe in English teaching to be able to develop a competitive curriculum and one of the best investments towards the future.
ESI, in collaboration with the E.L.E Institute, has designed a complete curricular program in which the student will be able to achieve an advanced English level once they have finished their studies (B2 European Level), which will allow you to pursue your studies at an English speaking university.
It is for this reason that we will focus on a conversational approach which you will be able to express yourself in English from the very beginning.
E.L.E Institute will offer you the possibility of introducing you to the language via:
- Native teachers
- Direct contact in Valladolid with foreign students in a language exchange program “one-to-
one”, or in a group.
- Participation in students activities: Parties, field trips, or cultural visits.
- Summer Language courses in Valladolid with native teachers.
- Summer language courses in the U.K.
- London Test preparation, which will allow you to pursue your studies at British universities.
- Exchange student program, allowing the foreign student to reside at your home to have a
closer exposure to other cultures.
Installations
The school is located in paseo Filipinos, in the old Convent of Las Madres Reparadoras, a historical building completely renovated. Situated in downtown Valladolid, infront of Campo Grande, a perfect location due to its proximity to the train and bus stations, which makes it very convenient to those students coming from other cities within the community.

- Ten classrooms with a capacity of 15 to 25 students, with a total of 200 computers.
- Digital Photographic studio dedicated to Design subjects and workshops.
- Two computer laboratories equipped with state of the art Apple computers.
- A multi purpose library and printing area available to the students.

U.K university progression
The BTEC HND (Higher National Diploma) are official degrees which form part of the British Educational system. Students who successfully complete vocational courses of 2 years’ full-time, are provided in universities and other higher education institutions in the U.K, The United States, and Australia, depending on the student´s performance and the area of specialty. The HND´s are classified as intermediate Level, Level 5 in the U.K, according to the last revision of the National Qualifications Framework, adapted since the 1st of January, 2006. (www.qca.org.uk)
The BTEC HND prepares students for specialized employment sectors, as well as executive positions. They are all recognized by most of the world´s organizations.
